Some fictions are actual accounts of events in history, and some are reflection of events. Actually, literature and history are integrated to each other, in a way that, pure history which shows us the reality and truth is just a myth. The pens writing history are subjective, and subject to power. During the history power has been a factor to control many things, among them discourse and history. On the other hand, literature is not independent either, and it reflects the hue and colure of its era and history in more than one way. Notwithstanding the genre, the writers who produce literary texts are living in a determined history, in which some events are dominant. In other words, literary texts were written in a context that definitely affected writers’ mind. Twelve Years a Slave is a clear example of literature as a tantamount to history, since it seeks to express the ignored angles of history in literary language. This article examines the inseparability and complementarity of literature and history in Twelve Years of Slave and its film adaptation.}, keywords = {History,Literature,Movie Adaptation,Black History,Slave Narrative}, title_fa = {ادبیات به عنوان تاریخ در رمان دوازده سال بردگی و اقتباس سینمایی آن}, abstract_fa = {این مقاله ادبیات را به مثابه تاریخ با تاکید بر نقش ادبیات داستانی مورد مطالعه قرار می دهد. برخی روایت ها شرح واقعی رویدادها در تاریخ و برخی بازتابی از آن رویدادهاست. درواقع، تاریخ و ادبیات برهمدیگرتنیده شدند. طوریکه می توان گفت که هیچ تاریخ نابی وجود ندارد که عاری از عنصر تخیل بوده و حقیقت محض را به ما بنمایاند. چون خودآگاهی نویسندگان تاریخ همواره معطوف به گفتمان قدرت است و قدرت پیوسته در میان مسائل زیاد، کنترل خود را روی تاریخ اعمال کرده است. از سوی دیگر ادبیات نیز مستقل از تاریخ نیست ، نویسندگان فارغ از اینکه در چه ژانری می نویسند، در آثار خود همواره رنگ و لعاب عصر خود را منعکس می کنند و گاه رویداد هایی را روایت می کنند که عامدا توسط قدرت نادیده گرفته می شوند یا با سکوت مطلق روبرو می شوند. دوازده سال بردگی مثال واضحی از ادبیات به مثابه تاریخ است، زیرا این اثر تلاش می کند زاویه های ناگفته تاریخ را با زبانی ادبی بیان کند. این مقاله، جدایی ناپذیری و مکمل هم بودن ادبیات و تاریخ را در دوازده سال بردگی و فلیم اقتباس شده از آنرا مورد بررسی قرار می دهد.}, keywords_fa = {تاریخ,ادبیات,اقتباس سینمایی,تاریخ سیاه پوستان,روایت بردگی}, url = {http://jalda.azaruniv.ac.ir/article_14044.html}, eprint = {http://jalda.azaruniv.ac.ir/article_14044_7a4f5c4120443872d2ef74be0d289a23.pdf} }
