How long does the review process normally take?
JALDA uses a double-blind review process. All submissions in JALDA are first checked for their originality by the editorial office. Then the manuscript is assigned to two of JALDA reviewers specializing in the related area. It takes normally two weeks for the editorial board to receive the review results. In case of conflicting comments, the submission is assigned to a third reviewer which takes another 14 days as the case may require.
If the paper is recommended to go through minor or major revisions, which is quite common, the manuscript is returned along with the reviewers' comments to the corresponding author for re-submission.
Having received the authors' finalized copy, the paper is sent to JALDA's Style Editor and Language Editor to prepare it for publication.
The authors' waiting time in case of rejection is about 2 weeks.
The authors' waiting time in case of acceptance with no revisions required is about 3 weeks.
The authors' waiting time in case of acceptance with revisions is about 6 weeks.
The corresponding authors' timely communication with the editorial team will help speed up the process.
