JALDA FOLLOWS THE GUIDELINES OF APA's 7th ed. Manual

Submissions to JALDA from June 1, 2021 onward are required to follow the instructions of the American Psychological Association (APA) in compliance with the publication manual of APA's 7th edition as illustrated below.

Journal of Applied Linguistics and Applied Literature: Dynamics and Advances offers the possibility of submitting articles online via Submit Manuscript. To access The Manual on How to Use Submission System, click here.

Articles submitted to the Journal of Applied Linguistics and Applied Literature: Dynamics and Advances (JALDA) should represent outstanding scholarship and make original contributions to the field. The Editors will assume that an article submitted for their consideration has not previously been published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere, either in the submitted form or in a modified version. The articles must be written in English and not include libelous or defamatory materials. The articles should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words (including the abstract and references). JALDA operates a double-blind peer-review process. To facilitate this process, authors are requested to ensure that all submissions, whether first or revised versions, are anonymous.

As part of the Open Access policy, publishing articles in JALDA is free of charge for authors. The similarity rate of all submissions to JALDA is checked through plagiarism-detecting software before being processed for peer review.

Authors to JALDA are invited to kindly attach all of the following documents as a necessary requirement for the completion of the submission process. Failure in uploading one of the items in the following list of 5 FILES REQUIRED FOR UPLOADING will leave the submission process incomplete.Missing one item in the list of uploaded documents will fail your submission. The main file of the manuscript prepared according to the guidelines of JALDA. Please make sure to prepare your manuscript according to the template before uploading. A Tile Page including the authors' information and affiliations which should be prepared according to the Title Page Template.
An Authorship Form including a short biography and photos of all authors prepared according to JALDA's Authorship Form Template.
The Persian translation of manuscript abstracts in Word File (uploaded as a supplementary file) is also required for submissions from Iran. Non-Iranian submitters and authors unfamiliar with Persian can upload the English abstract here to pass the requirement.
Another required component of submissions is the journal's document for Publication Ethics Observance, Assignment of the Financial Rights, Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest and Introduction of Authors. The form is available in both PDF and WORD format. The authors may download The Commitment Form in PDF Format and fill it in handwriting, or download The Commitment Form in Word Format and type their information in the form.

Call for ‘Book Reviews'

JALDA welcomes reviews of the recently-published books with an interdisciplinary outlook on the interactive dynamics between applied linguistics and applied literary studies.

Get Your Plenary Speech Published in JALDA

JALDA has added a new section to publish plenary speeches related to the theme of the journal. Conference organizers and keynote speakers may submit the transcript of the speeches through the journal system or send the recording to the editorial office to be processed and published.
